Q7. How to enable S.M.A.R.T.?
A7. To enable S.M.A.R.T., you should enter BIOS - > Bios Features Setup, then set 'HDD S.M.A.R.T. capability' to Enabled.
Q8. Why FinalRecovery show the error of Can't open SmartVSD.vxd?
A8. With a new (or "clean") installation of Windows 98 or Windows Me, programs that monitor Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology (SMART) drives cannot report SMART drive status. To resolve this issue, move the Smartvsd.vxd file from the Windows\System folder to the Windows\System\Iosubsys folder, and then restart the computer.
